Hai Phong, with three economic zones, 45 industrial parks, the city’s Free Trade Zone, along with outstanding and special policy mechanisms, is opening up great opportunities for the private sector to make breakthroughs in the coming years.

The Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority will continue improving the investment and business environment; strengthening the development of enterprise linkage chains and value chains; and promoting connections between FDI enterprises in economic zones and industrial parks with domestic enterprises.

At the same time, it will ensure transparency and openness of information related to planning, land funds, key projects, and the city’s policy mechanisms so that businesses can easily access information and participate in investment. The authority will also support the development of high-quality human resources; promote research, application and transfer of science and technology; foster innovation, digital transformation, and green transition.

The authority will also regularly organize dialogues and closely monitor production and business activities, as well as difficulties, obstacles, and recommendations from enterprises. Through these efforts, it aims to further promote the role of the private sector within industrial parks and economic zones.

The Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority commits to continuing to serve as a “trusted companion” and a solid support for the business community, especially private enterprises, unlocking resources and creating a transparent and modern business environment.

Regarding resources, key industries, and corporate governance in private sector development, the workshop analyzed the current state of corporate governance capacity, technological capability, innovation capacity, and the level of business linkages. Based on these analyses, participants proposed solutions to enhance competitiveness and promote deeper participation of enterprises in regional and global value chains.
