The V3 factory of LG Innotek Vietnam Hai Phong, located in Trang Due Industrial Park, has recently come into operation with a floor area of 150,000 sq m.
According to Park Hong Keun, General Director of LG Innotek Vietnam Hai Phong, to meet orders for next-generation camera modules for upcoming smartphone models, the company is seeking the city’s support to recruit 2,600 workers for the V3 plant.

To attract high-quality labor and compete with neighboring localities, the department has advised the city to effectively implement three resolutions of the municipal People’s Council on improving workforce quality, attracting talent, and developing human resources in semiconductors and artificial intelligence.
To address labor-related bottlenecks, Pham Van Thep, head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority, said the authority has introduced various measures to attract workers from other provinces to Hai Phong.
Recently, the authority coordinated with the city’s Confederation of Labor to organize a job fair with the participation of more than 90 enterprises, connecting thousands of workers and helping companies supplement their workforce.
To attract and retain workers, especially young laborer from other localities, the city needs to prepare sufficient social housing stock and strictly control selling prices so workers can access housing at original prices.
In addition, infrastructure investors in industrial parks should be required to develop social housing and worker housing in line with commitments. This is seen as an effective solution to retain workers, making Hai Phong an attractive place for both experts and workers.
