Hai Phong actively responds to Earth Hour 2026 campaign
Efforts to promote the Earth Hour 2026 campaign have intensified across mass media platforms, combined with calls encouraging residents and businesses to join related activities.
To raise community awareness on efficient and energy-saving practices, the Department of Industry and Trade has urged relevant departments, sectors, localities, and units to coordinate in implementing activities supporting the nationwide campaign promoting energy efficiency and a green lifestyle in response to Earth Hour 2026.
Earth Hour is a global campaign with profound communications impact, implemented by numerous countries and localities to boost awareness and promote community actions toward efficient energy use, technology adoption, and innovation. In Vietnam, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has led the initiative for the past 15 years. The event has drawn participation from provinces and cities nationwide, involving all social strata.
With message 'Green Innovation - Green Future', Earth Hour 2026 campaign highlights the role of innovation in efficient energy use. According to plans, Hai Phong city will roll out synchronized practical activities. Many units and businesses have plan to switch off lighting at public sites and major streets during the Earth Hour event from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM on Saturday, March 28, 2026. This flagship activity aims to spread the energy-saving message across the community.
