Craft villages provide stable jobs for tens of thousands of rural workers
Craft villages in Hai Phong City are providing stable jobs for more than 26,000 rural workers, contributing to boosting incomes and ensuring social welfare in localities.

According to the Hai Phong Department of Agriculture and Environment, the city has 78 officially recognized craft villages, including 32 traditional ones operating in various fields such as agricultural, forestry, and aquatic product processing, handmade arts and crafts, wooden furniture, textiles, small-scale mechanics, and ornamental plants.
There are 7,397 production and business establishments engaged in rural industries within these craft villages. Among them, 204 small and medium-sized enterprises account for 2.76%; 24 cooperatives and cooperative groups make up 0.32%; the rest are mainly household-based production, comprising 96.92%. Household-based production models continue to play the dominant role, leveraging local labor and traditional expertise to maintain operations.
The craft villages currently provide jobs for 26,386 workers, with an average per capita monthly income of about 7 million VND.
