Hai Phong wins five prizes at national science and technology competition
Hai Phong won five prizes at the National Science and Technology Competition for secondary and high school students in the 2025–2026 academic year, including one first prize and four third prizes.

The awards ceremony was held in Hanoi on March 22 by the Ministry of Education and Training, which presented 14 first prizes, 29 second prizes, 44 third prizes and 58 fourth prizes.
Hai Phong submitted six projects to the competition, five of which won prizes.

The first prize went to “Applying AI to forecast emissions and develop new materials for CO₂ conversion to support net zero goals” by Pham Ngoc Han and Nguyen Binh Kien of Ngo Quyen High School.
Four third prizes were awarded to projects including an AI-integrated optical system for rapid milk quality testing and fake milk detection; THeResist, an AI-integrated software for analyzing drug resistance mechanisms and screening compounds related to Mycobacterium tuberculosis; a study on the “broken windows” effect and early positive intervention models in high schools; and ROBS-AKT, an autonomous mobile robot system for rice farming. The projects were developed by students from Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted and Tran Phu High School for the Gifted.

According to Le Trung Thanh, director of Phenikaa University, students’ participation reflects not only academic performance but also their ability to turn ideas into practical products and solutions.
The 2025–2026 competition attracted 242 projects across 21 fields, up by more than 30 compared with the previous academic year.
In the 2024–2025 competition, Hai Phong won one first prize, two second prizes, one third prize and two consolation prizes.
