Promoting communication on the results of the elections to the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels
The Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Hai Phong City Party Committee has requested media agencies to strengthen communication on the results of the elections for deputies to the 16th National Assembly of Vietnam and deputies to the People's Council at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.

On the afternoon of March 20, the Department for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization of the Hai Phong Party Committee, in coordination with the Hai Phong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Hai Phong Journalists Association, organized the March press briefing and information session for local media agencies.
The conference was attended by leaders of the Department for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization, as well as representatives from relevant departments and agencies of the city.
At the meeting, representatives of the Hai Phong Department of Home Affairs reported that the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to the People's Council at all levels for the 2026–2031 term in the city recorded a very high voter turnout rate of 99.85%. The city successfully elected 19 National Assembly deputies, 85 city-level People’s Council deputies, and 2,373 commune-level People’s Council deputies.
Representatives of the Hai Phong Department of Construction also provided updates on key projects for 2026. Accordingly, the city has 31 major projects, including 2 projects to be completed, 16 projects to commence construction, and 13 projects continuing from 2025.
The Department for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization of the Hai Phong Party Committee noted that, in recent times, media agencies have closely followed communication orientations, comprehensively covering major events and activities while contributing to promoting the image of a rapidly developing Hai Phong. The press has also promptly reported on the preparation and organization of the recent elections.

Communication efforts will focus on promoting the implementation of the Action Programs to realize the Resolution of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s 14th National Congress across all sectors and levels. These efforts aim to highlight the strong political determination, innovative spirit, and creativity of Party committees, authorities, and the people, while identifying and replicating effective models, good practices, and breakthrough initiatives in implementing the Congress’s resolution.
Media agencies are also encouraged to widely and promptly report on the city’s decisive leadership and governance in implementing the 2026 economic growth scenario plan, the state budget revenue plan for 2026, and the public investment disbursement plan for 2026. Communication should also highlight the socio-economic development results of the first quarter of 2026, as well as solutions to accelerate administrative reform, improve the investment and business environment, promote digital transformation, attract investment, support businesses, speed up site clearance and public investment projects, and address difficulties in industrial production and exports.
In addition, communication should focus on important contents of Action Program No. 18 (dated March 12, 2026) issued by the Standing Board of the Hai Phong Party Committee to implement Resolution No. 80 of the Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam on developing Vietnamese culture. Media coverage should also highlight Action Plan No. 37 (dated March 12, 2026) implementing Resolution No. 79 on the development of the state sector of the economy. At the same time, initial results from implementing strategic resolutions of the Politburo aimed at leading the country into a new era of development should be widely reported.
