Hon Dau Island Festival 2026 officially opens
The Hon Dau Island Festival 2026 serves as a vibrant cultural and spiritual space rich in the unique identity of Do Son's coastal region (Hai Phong City).

On the morning of March 19, Do Son Ward (Hai Phong City) held an incense-offering ceremony at Nghe Temple and Nam Hai Dai Than Vuong Temple, along with the flag-raising ritual to inaugurate the Hon Dau Island Festival 2026.
The incense-offering ceremony was conducted solemnly at Do Son's Nghe Temple to pray for national peace, prosperity and happiness for the people. This ancient sacred temple is closely tied to the local community's cultural and spiritual life, and it is also linked to the ward's traditional buffalo-fighting festival.
Immediately following the incense-offering ceremony honoring the deities at Nghe Temple, the festival's organizing committee performed the traditional cultural and spiritual flag-raising ritual to open the festival on Hon Dau Island.

In addition to the ceremonial segment, various distinctive cultural and sports activities were organized, including the chess tournament (March 22) and the 4th Expanded Do Son Chau Van Singing Festival 2026 (March 27).
With meticulous preparations and meaningful activities, the Hon Dau Island Festival 2026 is expected to further affirm the unique cultural and spiritual values of Do Son's coastal region, while becoming an attractive highlight for tourists to Hai Phong City.
