The Me communal house festival takes place annually on the 17th and 18th of the first lunar month to worship the two tutelary deities, Dao Cong Duc and Dao Cong Quang, who followed and aided King Ly Nam De in repelling the Liang invaders in 542.The "Mr. Pig" procession stands out as the festival's unique highlight. The pigs to be sacrificed must be locally raised boars. Six hamlets compete by choosing their finest pig.
