Hai Phong City began distributing voter cards to nearly 3.2 million voters starting March 5 ahead of elections for the National Assembly and People’s Councils.

The People’s Committees of 114 communes, wards and special zone in Hai Phong have posted voter lists at their headquarters and at 2,577 polling stations across the city.

Election teams across the city started distributing voter cards at polling areas from March 5, based on voter lists that had previously been publicly posted. People’s Committees of communes, wards and the Bach Long Vi special zone printed the cards according to the posted voter lists and delivered them to election teams for distribution.

From March 5 to March 12, election teams will issue voter cards to voters in their respective polling areas. In Bach Long Vi, where voting will take place one day earlier, voter cards will be distributed from March 4 to March 11.

Authorities in 114 communes, wards and the special zone in Hai Phong have posted voter lists at commune-level People’s Committee offices and at 2,577 polling stations across the city. Residents have also been notified to review the lists.

A total of 3,189,339 voters are expected to cast ballots at 2,577 polling stations to elect deputies to the 16th National Assembly and members of People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term. Of the total, 2,537 polling stations are located in villages and residential quarters, while 40 are designated as separate polling stations.
