Hai Phong finalizes and publicly posts official candidate lists
Election Committees at all levels in Hai Phong have completed the announcement and public posting of the official lists of candidates for the 16th National Assembly and the People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.

Election Committees in communes, wards and special zones across the city have adopted resolutions establishing and publishing the official lists of candidates for commune-level People’s Council elections in 718 electoral units for the 2026–2031 tenure.
Among 3,952 candidates, voters in Hai Phong will elect 2,375 commune-level People’s Council deputies in 113 communes, wards and special zones for the 2026–2031 term. (The special zone of Bach Long Vi will not organize a People’s Council.)
Local authorities have printed and publicly posted the official candidate lists and brief biographies at polling stations.
Earlier, the Hai Phong City Election Committee passed a resolution approving and publishing the official lists of candidates for the 16th National Assembly and the municipal People’s Council for the 2026–2031 term by electoral unit. The committee has printed the lists and candidate profiles and distributed them to election teams for public display at polling locations.
Following the announcement and posting of the official lists, candidates will commence voter engagement activities, to be completed at least 24 hours before polling opens (before 7 a.m. on March 14).
For candidates for the National Assembly and the municipal People’s Council, the municipal Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the city People’s Committee have issued notices and plans to organize voter meetings in localities. These meetings will be conducted both in person and online.
