Hai Phong ensures smooth traffic, no major congestion over Lunar New Year
Traffic safety and order remained stable across Hai Phong City during the Lunar New Year holiday, with no prolonged congestion reported, ensuring safe and convenient travel for residents during the early days of spring.

According to the city’s Traffic Safety Committee, from February 14 to 22 (corresponding to the 27th day of December according to the lunar calendar to the sixth day of the Lunar New Year), traffic conditions were maintained steadily, with no severe traffic jams recorded across the city.
During the period, traffic police and relevant authorities inspected 66,354 vehicles and documented 1,814 traffic violations.

Compared with the same period during last year’s Lunar New Year holiday, the number of violations handled fell by 637 cases. Notably, alcohol-related violations dropped by 223 cases, reflecting effective enforcement efforts.
Remarkably, no prolonged traffic congestion was reported throughout this year’s holiday. Only localized congestion occurred at peak hours on several routes.

Passenger transport services also operated smoothly, effectively meeting the surge in travel demand during the period.
The Hai Phong Department of Construction directed transport operators to boost service frequency on key routes. Authorities also intensified inspections to prevent passenger overcrowding and fare increases.
As a result, traffic within the city remained safe and convenient before, during and after the holiday period.
