Over 500 students join Spring Calligraphy Festival in Hai Phong

On the morning of the fifth day of the Lunar New Year, the People’s Committee of Kien Hung Commune held the 2026 Spring Calligraphy Festival at the Mac Dynasty Special National Relic Site in Duong Thang Village.

More than 500 outstanding students from various schools across the city participated in the opening ceremony.

Under the theme “A Vision for Hai Phong’s Future,” students expressed their aspirations and sense of responsibility toward their hometown and the country.

A highlight of this year’s festival was the collective calligraphy ritual on a 65-meter-long red silk banner, symbolizing the 65-year reign of the Mac Dynasty in Thang Long.

The organizing committee awarded prizes to 16 students with outstanding writings.

The 2026 Spring Calligraphy Festival took place over three main days, from February 21 to 23.
