First Tet in the heart of new Hai Phong City
The first spring of new Hai Phong City after the merger brings a new rhythm of life.

The first spring of Hai Phong City after the merger brings a new rhythm of life. Amid the bustling streets vibrant with Tet colors, many civil servants, public employees, and workers from the former Hai Duong have quickly settled down, integrated, and joined the port city's residents in welcoming a warm and happy Tet.
In the first months after July 1, 2025, when Hai Duong province officially merged with Hai Phong city, the pace of life for many civil servants, public employees, and workers from the former Hai Duong became busier than ever. Early in the morning, cars and trains connect the two regions, taking them to work; late at night, streams of vehicles bring them back home. Overcoming difficulities, determination and hope for a new life shine in every person's eyes.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan and her husband are currently working at the Hai Phong City People's Committee. To stabilize their life in the new land and best serve their jobs, her family bought a house early in Hong Bang ward. She plans to stay until the Lunar December 28th or 29th before returning to their home in western Hai Phong, and might come back to the city on the first day of Tet to burn incense and enjoy spring outings in the port city.
Similarly, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thao and her husband are working in a state agency in Hai Phong. The couple proactively rented a house in Le Chan ward, a bustling central area of the city. They plan to celebrate the New Year's Eve at their new rental home. Currently, they are arranging work while hurrying to decorate the house for their first Tet in the new Hai Phong city.

The first Tet in the heart of the new Hai Phong City is not just a seasonal transition but a milestone of faith, new beginnings, and integration. From early departures and late returns to new homes, from initial awkwardness to familiar smiles, each person contributes to the spring picture of the merged city.
