To ensure safe and stable electricity supply during the Tet holiday, Haiphong Power Company has proactively developed and implemented a power distribution plan throughout the city.
Under the plan, Haiphong Power prioritizes supply to critical loads, downtown areas, administrative offices, media outlets, cultural event venues, entertainment zones, and densely populated residential areas.
Based on Tet load forecasts, the sector reviewed and adjusted grid operations at all levels, enhanced inter-area connectivity, prevented localized overloads, and prepared rapid response for any incidents.
Operation and repair teams are on duty 24/7 at key transformers and transmission lines, with full backup materials and equipment ready to secure energy security over the holiday.
For the special art programme “Haiphong welcomes spring 2026” at the Central Political-Administrative Center Square in Thuy Nguyen Ward on New Year's Eve, Haiphong Power has developed a detailed, multi-layered backup plan for absolute safety at this major city’s event.
Power workers have installed equipment, laid cables, and connected sources on schedule. Load tests, trial runs, and full rehearsals were completed before the official event. During the program, staff will continue to remain on-site at generators, power cabinets, and related substations, closely monitoring operations and ready to address any issues promptly.
