Hai Phong sets a GRDP growth target of 13% in 2026
Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee Le Tien Chau directed the Party Committee of the Hai Phong People's Committee to focus on leading socio-economic development efforts, striving to achieve the first-quarter growth target as planned, thereby creating a foundation for the city's GRDP growth to reach 13% in 2026.
On the morning of February 6, Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee, and Head of the Hai Phong City National Assembly Delegation Le Tien Chau chaired a meeting to hear reports and give opinions on the situation and results of implementing tasks related to socio-economic development, national defense and security, Party and government building, and mass mobilization in January; as well as key tasks and solutions for February 2026.
After hearing the reports and discussing the results of implementing tasks related to socio-economic development, national defense and security in January 2026, members of the Standing Committee of the Hai Phong City Party Committee gave opinions on several related orientations for the city planning and development in the coming period; implementation of key projects; establishment of a specialized economic zone; potential for attracting investment into industrial parks and economic zones; implementation of resolutions from the first Haiphong City Party Congress; resolutions on building socialism; resolution on cadre work; the project on education and training development...
In his concluding remarks, Secretary of the Haiphong City Party Committee Le Tien Chau, acknowledged and highly commended the city's results in implementing January 2026 tasks. Notably, economic development met all 8 key targets, with many exceeding the set plan.
