Expanding Cultural Spaces

At Vincom Mega Mall Royal Island (Vu Yen), the “Family Festival – Tracing the Heavenly Horse” event, jointly organized by the World Art Center (Hai Phong branch), attracted large numbers of families on January 31 and February 1, 2026. The central hall was transformed into an interactive art and activity space, where children and parents joined painting sessions, decorated lucky envelopes, played family games, and enjoyed children’s performances.

According to Mr. Pham Ngoc Trung, a resident of Le Chan Ward, what encouraged him to bring his child to the event was not only the entertainment value but also the opportunity for children o better understand the traditional values of Tet.

Meanwhile, the “Rural Market 2026 – Spring Together” program organized by Babeeni Vietnam at the Babeeni factory (Hai Duong branch) created a warm and familiar atmosphere. A traditional rural market was recreated within the factory grounds, featuring folk games, cultural performances, and booths showcasing traditional cultural products.

Spreading Traditional Values

At the Hai Phong Museum (Branch 2), ahead of the Lunar New Year, traditional Tet has been introduced through hands-on programs designed to preserve and pass on cultural knowledge. Here, visitors were able to make chung cakes, print traditional woodblock folk paintings, and practice calligraphy. These activities are designed to encourage people to engage directly with traditional customs.

Also, at the museum, the exhibition area “Vietnamese Traditional Costumes – The Beauty of Traditional Tet” offers a vivid look at traditional Tet attire, bringing cultural heritage closer to the public.

On a smaller yet more personal scale, Goc Mer Cafe in Gia Vien Ward has become a destination for those seeking a slower-paced Tet experience. Weekend activities such as making chung cakes and decorating traditional Tet spaces have attracted many young people and families.

Although held at different venues, these activities share a common goal: bringing tradition back into everyday life through flexible approaches. Tet is no longer a distant memory but a living part of the present, where cultural values continue to be preserved and passed on.
