Ensuring Tet market supply, combating trade fraud
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has called on local authorities nationwide to implement coordinated measures to stabilize supply and demand, ensure sufficient goods for the 2026 Tet market, and combat commercial fraud.

In line with the Prime Minister’s Official Dispatch No. 07/CĐ-TTg dated February 1, 2026, on accelerating tasks to serve the public during the upcoming Lunar New Year, the Domestic Market Management and Development Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Document No. 332/TTTN-NV, requesting localities to synchronously deploy solutions to stabilize the market and crack down trade fraud.
Accordingly, provincial and municipal Departments of Industry and Trade are tasked with closely monitoring market developments and proactively coordinating with businesses to secure supplies of essential commodities such as food, petroleum, and consumer goods. A key priority is the strict supervision of distribution networks, from supermarkets to traditional markets, to avoid localized shortages or disruptions in goods circulation during the peak period.
Alongside ensuring adequate supply, localities are encouraged to flexibly organize promotional programs and initiatives bringing Vietnamese goods to industrial parks as well as remote areas. In particular, ensuring a stable petroleum supply must be carried out in strict compliance with the latest guidelines issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Market surveillance forces will intensify inspections of product origin, quality, and price-listing compliance. As online shopping continues to boom, monitoring of e-commerce activities will also be strengthened to prevent fraud, counterfeit goods, and smuggled products from entering the digital marketplace. Relevant agencies are required to maintain regular reports to promptly address emerging issues, ensuring that people welcome a safe and healthy Lunar New Year.
