Airlines transport peach and apricot blossoms to serve people celebrating Tet
Airlines have simultaneously rolled out services to transport peach and apricot blossom branches to meet passenger demand during the peak travel period of the 2026 Lunar New Year.
Every Lunar New Year, demand for carrying peach and apricot blossoms by air rises sharply. Recognizing this reality, domestic airlines have maintained services for transporting peach and apricot blossoms as a special type of checked baggage to serve passengers during the peak travel period.
From now until March 3, 2026, Vietnam Airlines will transport peach and apricot blossom branches on all domestic flights operated by Vietnam Airlines and Pacific Airlines. Each passenger is allowed to carry a maximum of one bundle, with a fee of VND 450,000 per bundle.
Vietjet will also provide peach and apricot blossom transport services until February 28, 2026 on domestic routes to and from Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Da Lat, and Hai Phong. Each passenger may check in a maximum of one bundle, consisting of no more than two branches; whole trees or potted plants with soil are not accepted. The transport fee is VND 450,000 per bundle, excluding taxes and fees.
In addition, Bamboo Airways, Vietravel Airlines, and Sun PhuQuoc Airways also accept peach and apricot blossoms as checked baggage on their domestic flights during the Tet holiday.
Passengers who wish to use this service are advised to register in advance of departure for more convenient service.
