The Government Office issued Notice No. 49/TB-VPCP dated January 28, 2026, conveying the Government Standing Committee’s conclusions at a meeting on preparations for the event.

After hearing a report from the Ministry of Industry and Trade and opinions from Deputy Prime Ministers, the Standing Committee highly commended the efforts of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, other ministries, local authorities and Vingroup Group in coordinating the development of the plan. The Government agreed on the official name “The First Spring Fair 2026”, which is scheduled to take place from February 2 to 13, 2026, at the Vietnam National Exhibition Centre in Dong Anh District, Hanoi.

On funding, the Ministry of Industry and Trade was tasked with urgently consolidating state budget support requests from relevant ministries and sectors and submitting them to the Ministry of Finance by January 29, 2026, and will be responsible for the accuracy of the reported information and figures.

Based on this submission, the Ministry of Finance will review the proposal and provide guidance within its authority by January 30, 2026, ensuring efficiency and thrift practice.

In addition to central budget resources, the Government encourages local authorities to add fund for the overall success of the Spring Fair. As the task is urgent, ministries and localities were instructed to carry out contractor selection in accordance with regulations, ensuring progress, transparency and integrity.

Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son has been assigned to be in charge of the Spring Fair.
