Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh has signed Decision No. 161 promulgating the Plan for the implementation of the Decree on time-limited visa exemptions for foreign nationals in specially prioritized categories to serve socio-economic development.
The purpose of the Plan is to clearly define tasks, timelines, completion deadlines, and specific responsibilities for each relevant agency and organization in implementing Decree No. 221/2025, which provides for time-limited visa exemptions for foreign nationals in specially prioritized categories to support socio-economic development. The Plan aims to ensure that the implementation of the Decree is carried out in a timely, comprehensive, unified, coordinated, effective, and lawful manner.
In addition, the Plan establishes a close coordination mechanism among ministries, government agencies, local authorities, and other relevant agencies and organizations during the implementation process. Through this mechanism, it seeks to strengthen the centralized and unified leadership and direction of the Government and the Prime Minister, while also promoting the proactiveness and accountability of ministries, sectors, and localities in carrying out their assigned tasks.
