The road to Ve Market is gradually taking shape in the final days of the year.

The road tied to Tet market memories

In the final days of the year, the construction site for the road from Ve Market to Dau Tri Hamlet in Ninh Giang Commune (Hai Phong City) is bustling with urgent work. This is the road that residents from Khuc Thua Du, Vinh Lai, and Hong Chau communes frequently use to Ve Market.

Along with overtime shifts, design consultants and supervision consultants have stationed staff on-site around the clock to promptly address any issues. Inspection and supervision run parallel to construction, ensuring progress and quality of all items. After more than three months of work, many work-items are complete.

From now until Tet 2026, construction units will add four hours of overtime daily, maintain multiple simultaneous work fronts along the entire route, and focus on finishing the road base, drainage system, and technical items.

Increasing shifts to meet deadlines

The Ve Market Road renovation and upgrade project is one of seven projects launched in 2025 by the Ninh Giang Area Project Management Board. The 2.1 km route is built to provincial level-4 road standards, with a total investment of over 22.4 billion VND.

For many residents, the road is not only new infrastructure but also a familiar path tied to their childhood memories of going to the market with grandparents.

For traders and residents from Khuc Thua Du, Vinh Lai, and Hong Chau communes, the new road will not only make trading easier during the pre-Tet rush but also transform the face of a route which has tied to them for for years.

After months of rushed construction, the road will be wider and smoother, while carrying forward simple Tet memories passed down through generations in Ninh Giang commune.
