Do Son ward aims to welcome 4.9 million tourist arrivals

The People’s Committee of Do Son ward has issued a 2026 action program themed ‘Proactive Task Implementation, Leveraging Tourism Development as a Growth Driver for Breakthrough Expansion'.

With the action theme “Proactive Task Implementation, Leveraging Tourism Development as a Growth Driver for Breakthrough Expansion,” in 2026, Do Son Ward (Hai Phong) aims to welcome 4.9 million tourist arrivals. The ward will focus on increasing the proportion of overnight visitors, expanding the domestic tourism market, and gradually raising the share of international visitors, targeting key markets such as China, the Republic of Korea, Japan, and ASEAN countries.

At the same time, the ward will concentrate on urban beautification and the development of synchronized infrastructure, particularly transport and tourism-related infrastructure; accelerate site clearance; and strengthen the management of land, natural resources, and the environment, thereby creating clean land reserves to attract investment and promote sustainable tourism development.

In 2025, the ward welcomed 4.7 million tourist arrivals, with revenue from accommodation and food services reaching VND 2.45 trillion. The locality organized and co-organized a number of large-scale events, including the 2025 Tourism Festival “Do Son – A Destination for All Seasons,” the Expanded Tourism Golf Tournament, the Dau Island Festival, and the Do Son Buffalo Fighting Festival – VTV 2025.

Key projects such as the renovation of Dam Vuong Park, the construction of resettlement areas, and the development of the central road of Do Son District were implemented effectively, contributing to the upgrading and beautification of the city’s tourism urban area.
