Hai Phong to start construction of two roads linking National Highway 5 and National Highway 10
Hai Phong will start construction of two road projects connecting National Highway 5 with National Highway 10, with a total investment of more than VND 9.1 trillion.

According to the Hai Phong Project Management Board for Transportation and Agricultural Construction Works, the unit is accelerating the implementation of procedures and striving to start construction on two roads linking National Highway 5 with National Highway 10, sections passing through the former Kien An District and the bypass of Vinh Bao Town in the former Vinh Bao District, in April.
Of these, the project to construct the road connecting National Highway 5 and National Highway 10 through the former Kien An District has a total investment of VND 5,307.4 billion. The project involves the construction of a new road stretching approximately 7.3 kilometers from Bui Vien Road to the Hanoi–Hai Phong Expressway, with a roadbed width of 50.5 meters.
Along the route, a multi-level interchange will be built at Bui Vien Road. In the area beneath Lam Khe Bridge, an underpass running along Truong Chinh Road will be constructed to address traffic conflict points. In addition, a bridge spanning the Da Do River will be built, with a width of 40.5 meters.

The project to construct the road connecting National Highway 5 and National Highway 10, bypassing the former Vinh Bao town in Vinh Bao district, has a total investment of VND 3,799.8 billion.
The project involves the construction of a new road linking National Highway 5 and National Highway 10, with a total length of approximately 8 kilometers and a roadbed width of 50.5 meters. Along the route, two multi-level interchanges will be built between the main route and National Highway 10 at the beginning and end of the route, with overpasses along the main route, each 25.5 m wide. In addition, eight bridges will be constructed over the Chanh Duong Canal, Chanh Diec Canal, and other canals along the route, with a total bridge length of approximately 321.8 meters.
These two projects are funded by the city budget and are scheduled for implementation during the 2025–2029 period.
