Preparations for medical services at the 14th National Party Congress must be carried out at the highest level.

On January 10, in Hanoi, the Department of Medical Services Administration (Ministry of Health) held a meeting to appraise professional documents on medical examination and treatment serving the 14th National Party Congress. The meeting was attended by more than 40 leading experts in the medical field.
Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Ha Anh Duc, Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, Vice Chairman of the National Medical Council, and Chairman of the Council, affirmed that ensuring medical services for the 14th National Party Congress is a political task and an important honor for the health sector. Emphasizing that this is a major event of the country, Dr. Ha Anh Duc said that all stages of preparation must be implemented at the highest level in order to ensure absolute safety for the Congress.
At the meeting, experts focused on providing comments, finalizing and approving professional documents serving medical work for the Congress, including lists of medicines, medical equipment and supplies for emergency kits, medical teams, ambulances and intensive care units; at the same time, they appraised professional guidelines on emergency response, diagnosis and treatment, and developed scenarios for emergency drills.
The Department of Medical Services Administration will play a coordinating role in providing medical services for the Congress. In addition to directing on-site emergency standby work at the Congress venue, the Department will issue official documents requesting hospitals under the Ministry of Health and the Hanoi Department of Health to prepare a reserve of hospital beds, while clearly assigning tasks to medical staff participating in duty throughout the duration of the 14th National Party Congress.
According to the plan, on January 13, medical teams will take part in drills at the National Convention Center to finalize all preparatory contents, ensuring readiness for medical services serving the 14th National Party Congress.
