Determination from the Start

The Tan Vu - Hung Dao - Bui Vien Ring Road Project Management Board reports that construction on Ring Road 2 continued normally over the 2026 New Year's holiday. Over 800 engineers and workers stuck to their tasks across the route, ramping up progress right from January 1.

At the Nguyen Trai Bridge and adjacent urban revamp project, over 400 engineers, workers, and laborers stayed on site instead of celebrating with their family. The two main construction packages have entered complex phases, demanding high precision for the main bridge and approach spans.

Building Momentum for Economic Growth

Beyond Ring Road 2, Nguyen Trai Bridge, and Hanoi-Lao Cai-Hai Phong railway resettlement areas, the bustling construction atmosphere is underway at many other key projects.

A representative from the Hai Phong Transport and Agriculture Construction Project Management Board said three underpass projects, Vo Nguyen Giap-Bui Vien, Le Hong Phong-Bui Vien, and Nguyen Trai-Le Hong Phong, broke ground on December 19 to mark the 14th National Party Congress. With a total investment of 2,235 billion VND, contractors mobilized machinery, equipment, and workers to clear sites and start construction, sticking to tight timelines.

These include the Ninh Binh-Hai Phong expressway section (CT.08) through the city and 9 kilometers in Hung Yen province, including the coastal interchange on the Hanoi-Hai Phong expressway; the western city interchange and Vo Nguyen Giap Avenue extension linking to Gia Binh Airport; climate-resilient Hai Phong development; and the east-west connector road (linking National Highway 10 to Hai Duong's old Ring Road 1).

Hai Phong's 2026 public investment capital allocation reaches up to 39,000 billion VND.
