Nearly 4,000 businesses in Hai Phong to provide New Year bonuses for workers

According to statistics from the Hai Phong Department of Home Affairs, nearly 4,000 businesses across the city are expected to provide New Year bonuses for their workers.
In line with the general trend, most businesses focus their bonus spending on Tet (Lunar New Year), so New Year bonuses for 2026 range from 300,000 to 3.5 million VND/ person.
The average New Year bonus is about 1.13 million VND/ person, up 16.5% compared with the average level for the 2025 New Year.
At single-member limited liability companies with 100% State-owned charter capital, the average New Year bonus is 670,000 VND. At companies in which the State holds controlling shares or capital contributions, the average level is 1.02 million VND. In the private sector, the average bonus is 990,000 VND, an increase of about 39% year on year.
Many foreign-invested enterprises do not provide New Year bonuses, instead concentrating resources on Tet bonuses. As a result, the average New Year bonus per worker in this group is about 1.28 million VND. The highest individual bonus is recorded at Deep C Management Co., Ltd., on Tran Phu street in Ngo Quyen ward, at 137 million VND.
