Hai Phong has 475 Production Unit Codes

According to the Sub-department of Cultivation and Plant Protection under the Hai Phong Department of Agriculture and Environment, the city has 475 Production Unit Codes (PUC) covering a total area of 3,320 ha, including 270 codes for export and 205 codes for domestic consumption.

The PUCs were mainly granted to production areas in the western part of the city, which is a key agricultural production zone. Crops granted codes include lychee, guava, banana, carrots and others. To be granted a PUC, production areas must meet stringent requirements such as concentrated cultivation in accordance with VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards.

PUCs not only enhance the competitiveness of agricultural products but also facilitate export, ensuring transparency and credibility in agricultural supply chains. As a result, they will contribute to promoting sustainable agricultural development and increasing the value of Hai Phong’s agricultural products in the market.
