Hai Phong Party Committee’s Standing Board discusses important issues

The Standing Board of the Hai Phong Party Committee has discussed and gave opinions on several issues related to agriculture, rural areas, health care, and planning across the city.

Le Tien Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Head of the city Delegation of National Assembly Deputies, presided over a meeting of the city Party Committee’s Standing Board held on December 29 to give opinions on several issues related to agriculture, rural areas, health care, and planning across the city.

At the meeting, the Party Committee of the city People’s Committee proposed that the Standing Board issue a resolution on overall tasks and solutions to transform agricultural production in a large-scale commodity direction in the city for the 2026 – 2030 period, with a vision to 2045.

Accordingly, the goal by 2030 is to develop a comprehensive and sustainable agricultural economy, ensure food security, protect the ecological environment, and adapt to climate change; closely link production with processing and domestic and export markets, while combining new-style rural building with tourism development. The vision to 2045 aims toward an ecological and circular agriculture, large-scale commodity production with high added value, and a wide range of export products.

The Standing Board of the city Party Committee also gave opinions on a project to enhance the capacity of the city health care system in implementing the Politburo’s Resolution No. 72 dated September 9, 2025.

This is a strategic step to strengthen the protection, care, and improvement of people’s health, and to gradually build Hai Phong into a modern medical center of the Northern coastal region.

The Standing Board of the city Party Committee agreed to issue a resolution on developing agriculture in a large-scale commodity direction and assigned the Party Committee of the city People’s Committee to complete procedures for submission and signing.

The Standing Board also agreed in principle to the project to enhance the capacity of the health care system and required completion of documents, ensuring feasible targets and tasks, concise editing, and stronger linkage with projects in culture, education, physical training, and sports.

The Standing Board agreed in principle to the 1/2,000-scale zoning plan for Tien Lang 1 industrial park and assigned the Party Committee of the city People’s Committee to continue completing the planning in accordance with regulations.
