Hai Phong to present 16,000 New Year gifts to disadvantaged workers
The Hai Phong Confederation of Labor will present workers with 16,000 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, on the occasion of the 2026 New Year.
The Hai Phong Confederation of Labor has announced a plan to present gifts to trade union members and workers in difficult circumstances on the occasion of the 2026 New Year.
Under the plan, the confederation will present workers with 16,000 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, including 500,000 VND in cash and a gift bag valued at 500,000 VND, from its budget.
Eligible recipients include trade union members and workers in difficult circumstances who fall into one of the following categories: single parents raising young children who are ill or suffering from diseases; individuals themselves, or their spouses or children, who are diagnosed with serious illnesses; individuals who have suffered occupational accidents, occupational diseases, or been affected by natural disasters, floods, or fires; union members with low income or who experienced job shortages or job loss in 2025; and other union members facing hardship.
The gift-giving period runs from now until January 30, 2026.
The program aims to provide practical care and support for trade union members and workers on the occasion of the 2026 New Year; promptly encourage and assist those facing hardship, serious illness, occupational accidents, or impacts from natural disasters and fires in stabilizing their lives and daily activities, and to welcome the new year in a joyful, positive, safe, and healthy manner.
The distribution of gifts will ensure the right beneficiaries and be delivered directly to trade union members and workers.
