Former Hai Phong student receives 3rd-class Labor Order
Nguyen Huu Thanh has received a 3rd-class Labor Order for winning a silver medal at the 2025 International Biology Olympiad while studying at Tran Phu Senior High School for the Gifted in Hai Phong.
Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan met and honored Vietnamese students who won prizes at international Olympiads and science and technology competitions in 2025 at the Presidential Palace on December 12.
Nguyen Huu Thanh, a former student of Tran Phu Senior High School for the Gifted in Hai Phong, was awarded a 3rd-class Labor Order by the State President for his outstanding achievement of winning a silver medal at the 2025 International Biology Olympiad.
At the ceremony, seven students were awarded 2nd-class Labor Orders, 12 students received 3rd-class Labor Orders, and five students were presented with certificates of merit from the Prime Minister.
Thanh said he felt very happy and proud of the attention and recognition from Party and State leaders. This is a strong motivation for him to continue studying and training, striving to become a skilled doctor and contribute to public health care as well as to his hometown and the country.
Thanh is currently a first-year student majoring in general medicine at Ha Noi Medical University. His achievement is not only a source of pride for his family and school but also helps affirm the quality of Hai Phong’s specialized education in discovering, nurturing and supporting young talents to reach further.
