Hai Phong’s 11-month consumer price index up 3.21%
Hai Phong recorded price increases in seven out of 11 major groups of consumer goods in the first 11 months of 2025.

Hai Phong’s consumer price index (CPI) in November rose by 0.33% compared to October, according to the city Statistics Office.
On average over the first 11 months of 2025, the city’s CPI increased by 3.21% year-on-year. Of the 11 major groups of consumer goods, seven posted price increases and four saw declines.
The index for medicine and healthcare services rose by 13.03% as most items in this group increased, including medicine, medical equipment, and healthcare services.
The housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials category rose by 6.71% due to higher input material prices, rental rates, household electricity prices, and coal prices.
The index for other goods and services increased by 4.34%, driven by items such as personal goods and personal care services.
The food and catering category rose by 3.29% as prices of several items, including rice, wheat flour, cereals, processed food, livestock meat, poultry, and fresh seafood, continued to trend upward.
The education category slightly increased by 1.84%, mainly due to higher prices for some educational services, tuition increases at certain non-public institutions for the 2024 – 2025 school year, and tuition adjustments for the 2025 – 2026 academic year at Hai Phong University of Management and Technology, Hai Phong College of Medicine and Pharmacy, and Vietnam Maritime University…
