Over 1,000 people join blood donation festival

The ‘Red drops of love’ blood donation festival, organized by the Hai Phong Confederation of Labor, attracted more than 1,000 donors who are trade union members and workers.

The Hai Phong Confederation of Labor held the “Red drops of love” blood donation festival on December 6 at the Viet - Tiep Friendship Labor Cultural Palace as part of the first Hai Phong Job Fair in 2025.

Opening the event, Nguyen Van Phiet, Vice Chairman of the city Confederation of Labor, said the voluntary blood donation movement organized over the years by trade unions at all levels in the city has drawn strong participation from officials, trade union members, and workers, demonstrating their sense of responsibility, compassion, and noble acts.

The “Red drops of love” festival attracted more than 1,000 trade union members and workers who registered to donate blood, making an active contribution to ensuring blood supply for emergency care and treatment at medical facilities across the city.

Since the beginning of the year, the city Confederation of Labor has strengthened communication on voluntary blood donation across trade union levels and organized 15 blood donation drives with nearly 5,000 registrants, collecting more than 4,000 units of blood.
