Hai Phong provides medical support and free healthcare in Dak Lak

A delegation from Hai Phong will offer free medical examinations, health consultations, and medicine to about 300 residents in Dak Lak province, and address common post-flood health issues.

The Hai Phong Department of Health held a send-off ceremony on December 5 for a delegation to provide medical support, healthcare services, and free medicine in Dak Lak province to help overcome the impacts of recent rain and floods.

The delegation consists of 25 officials and doctors, led by Tran Quoc Trinh, Deputy Director of the Department of Health. Most members are young, dedicated medical professionals with strong expertise from medical facilities in the city.

The delegation will provide medical examinations, health consultations, and free medicine to around 300 residents; donate family medicine kits and gifts; present 40 gift sets worth 1 million VND in cash each to disadvantaged households; and donate 100 million VND to the local medical facility where the delegation will conduct examinations.

Speaking at the ceremony, Le Minh Quang, Director of the Hai Phong Department of Health, called on delegation members to uphold the solidarity, determination, and resilience of Hai Phong people to successfully fulfill their assigned tasks, helping flood-hit residents safeguard their health and overcome difficulties.

Previously, the Hai Phong Department of Health provided Dak Lak with 300 sets of flood and storm prevention medicine (34 categories), 2,500 kg of 25% Chloramine B, and 400,000 Aquatab water-purification tablets, worth a total of more than 1.2 billion VND, donated by units within the sector.
