Exhibition on heritage, scenic sites and traditional handicrafts opens in Hai Phong
An exhibition introducing heritage spaces from different regions and offering a variety of distinctive art activities is taking place at the Hai Phong Center for Culture, Cinema and Exhibition.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in cooperation with the Hai Phong People’s Committee, opened the exhibition “Vietnamese cultural heritage, scenic sites and traditional handicraft products 2025” at the city Center for Culture, Cinema and Exhibition on the evening of November 21.
The exhibition is organized to mark Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day on November 23. This large-scale event honors tangible and intangible cultural heritage, famous landscapes, traditional arts and handicraft products from various regions.

This year’s exhibition is arranged into several themed display areas with diverse content. The general section introduces more than 300 artistic photographs of Vietnam’s cultural and natural heritage; documents reflecting President Ho Chi Minh’s attention to heritage preservation; and Party and State directives related to this field.

In addition, the section “Vietnam – the land of heritage” offers compelling perspectives on biosphere reserves, world memories and prominent scenic sites nationwide. A notable highlight is the display “Colors of Vietnam’s intangible cultural heritage,” featuring images of art forms such as Bac Ninh quan ho (love duet singing), Hue court music and the gong cultural space of the Central Highlands.

In the culinary field, the space “Ha Noi culinary heritage” recreates the craft of pho making, a national intangible cultural heritage, through documents and unique craft stories.

This year, the organizers also introduce several new themes, including Vietnamese calligraphy art; an ao dai (traditional long dress) display titled “Vietnamese ao dai in national cultural heritage”; a light sculpture performance with the collection “Celestial Horse – Perfect fulfillment”; and the art exhibition “Ceramics & Tea” combined with an experience of Quang An lotus tea-making, a national intangible cultural heritage.

The display areas of provinces and cities including Dien Bien, Phu Tho, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Hue, Da Nang and Hai Phong showcase distinctive shades of natural heritage, history, festivals, specialties and OCOP products.
Notably, Quang Ninh introduces UNESCO-recognized heritage sites such as Ha Long Bay, Cat Ba Archipelago and the Yen Tu – Vinh Nghiem – Con Son, Kiep Bac complex, along with traditional crafts of the Dao, San Chi and Tay ethnic groups.

Throughout the event, numerous art programs and heritage exchange activities will be held, including performances of traditional musical instruments, folk dances, xoan, quan ho, cheo, bai choi and don ca tai tu singing. A parade honoring the Vietnamese ao dai on the afternoon of November 23 is expected to draw large crowds of residents and visitors.
The event runs from November 21 to 24.
