Hai Phong is implementing its plan to select the city’s exemplary industrial products for 2025.
Removing obstacles
According to Nguyen Quoc Huy, Head of the Industrial Management Division under the Hai Phong Department of Industry and Trade, promoting the development of rural industrial products still faces many challenges.
Therefore, developing rural industrial products through the selection of exemplary ones is a major policy of the Party and the State, considered one of the key components of industrial promotion activities. This program honors high-quality products with strong usability and production potential and helps expand markets.
It also creates momentum for rural industrial establishments to leverage their competitive advantages to produce goods with productivity, quality, and designs that meet increasingly high demands of domestic consumers and export markets, contributing to the city’s socio-economic development. This recognition also serves as a “passport” that opens opportunities for small- and medium-sized enterprises, cooperatives, and household producers to reach broader markets.
Based on the results of the exemplary rural industrial product selection, participating establishments receive awards and are provided with consulting and guidance on accessing preferential policies and support from both local and national authorities. Priority is given to funding from local and national industrial promotion programs for vocational training, management capacity building, technology transfer, application of advanced machinery and equipment to production, and trade promotion.
Enhancing value
The city is currently implementing its plan to select exemplary industrial products for 2025. So far, the Department of Industry and Trade has received 147 registrations, reflecting the program’s strong appeal and the aspiration of businesses and production establishments to affirm their brands.
Starting with aquaculture processing, after 10 years, Xuyen Viet Aquatic Products Production and Trading Cooperative in Gia Phuc commune now offers quality products that meet the market demand for processed aquatic products. However, to improve competitiveness, the cooperative is proactively seeking support solutions, especially by participating in the selection of the city’s exemplary rural industrial products for 2025 with high expectations.
The Department of Industry and Trade will continue accompanying businesses and production establishments in refining production processes, promoting linkages to reduce costs and increase productivity, and intensifying training programs on marketing, branding, and e-commerce to help businesses adapt flexibly to the market, Head of the Industrial Management Division Nguyen Quoc Huy added.
Hai Phong’s strategy for developing rural industrial products not only enhances product value but also contributes to rural modernization. As high-quality products are recognized and widely promoted, local brands are elevated, motivating businesses to continue innovating.
With a clear direction and strong support from management agencies, Hai Phong’s rural industrial products are poised for a major breakthrough, becoming an important foundation for the city’s sustainable socio-economic development in the coming years.
