Building comprehensively smart Hai Duong Medical Technical University
Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen has asked Hai Duong Medical Technical University to strive to become a comprehensively smart one by 2030.

Hai Duong Medical Technical University held a ceremony on November 15 to celebrate its 65th traditional day (1960 – 2025) and the 43rd Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20, 1982 – 2025).
Hai Duong Medical Assistant School was established in 1960. After several renamings and upgrades, the institution was officially named Hai Duong Medical Technical University in 2007, marking an important milestone and affirming the role of medical technicians in public healthcare.
Over its 65 years of development, the university has achieved remarkable results and become a prestigious training institution in medical doctor education and nursing – medical technology.

The university’s hospital, a level-II one, has helped strengthen practical training capacity and professional reputation.
Throughout its development, the university has received numerous accolades, including second- and third-class Independence Orders and first-, second- and third-class Labor Orders.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen commended the university’s achievements and requested continued focus on key orientations. These include maintaining its core role in medical technology training; standardizing the teaching workforce; renewing curricula, training methods and assessments toward competency development; adopting digital transformation and modern simulation models; expanding cooperation and promoting research and technology transfer.

The university is also expected to improve teaching quality, increase the proportion of PhDs and associate professors, and strengthen foreign-language capacity among faculty members. It should promote international cooperation, boost scientific research and innovation, and strive to become a comprehensively smart university by 2030.
On this occasion, the university was honored with certificates of merit from the Ministry of Health and the Hai Phong People’s Committee, and nine individuals received commendations from the Chairman of the city People’s Committee.
