Two major corporations seek cooperation opportunities in Hai Phong
Leaders of Aries Energy Corporation and Delta Group have expressed interest in cooperating with Hai Phong in the fields of shipbuilding, energy, and maritime transport.
Le Trung Kien, Member of the Standing Board of the Hai Phong Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the city People’s Committee, and Head of the city Economic Zone Authority, received and worked with Aries Energy Corporation, led by Gabriel Petridis, Honorary Consul of Vietnam in Greece’s Piraeus and Chairperson of the corporation, and Delta Group on November 12.
Vice Chairman Le Trung Kien briefed the corporations on Hai Phong’s outstanding achievements in socio-economic development, as well as the city’s potential and advantages across various sectors, particularly the strengths and development orientation of the shipbuilding industry in the coming years.
He emphasized that Hai Phong always encourages domestic and foreign transport enterprises to invest in this field and is committed to accompanying and creating favorable conditions for businesses to invest and grow.
At the meeting, the leaders of Aries Energy Corporation and Delta Group expressed their desire to cooperate in shipbuilding, energy, and maritime transport, traditional strengths of Hai Phong.
The city is currently home to about 150 enterprises operating in shipbuilding and supporting industries, including 34 shipyards employing over 21,000 workers.
Products from Hai Phong’s shipbuilding enterprises have been exported to major markets such as the UK, the Netherlands, South Korea, Germany, Norway, Japan, and Taiwan (China).
