Hai Phong lures over 1.2 billion USD in FDI in 10 months

According to the Hai Phong People’s Committee, from the beginning of 2025 to the end of October, the city attracted 165 new foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with total registered capital of more than 1.2 billion USD. Of these, industrial parks and economic zones lured 88 projects worth 1,143.5 million USD (91.64%), while 77 projects outside these zones registered 104.3 million USD (8.36%).

During the same period, the city also recorded 120 projects with increased capital, totaling 990.4 million USD, and 25 capital contribution or share purchase transactions worth 69.97 million USD.

To date, Hai Phong has had 1,761 valid FDI projects with total investment of 50.64 billion USD. Of these, 1,017 projects are in industrial parks and economic zones with total capital of 42.80 billion USD, while 744 projects outside these zones have 7.84 billion USD in capital.

In recent times, the city has strengthened connection with FDI enterprises and attraction of large-scale, high-tech FDI projects, particularly in processing, manufacturing, electronics, semiconductors, and artificial intelligence.
