Striving to complete site clearance for Lao Cai – Ha Noi – Hai Phong railway in 2025
Localities along Lao Cai – Ha Noi – Hai Phong railway in Hai Phong are mobilizing the entire political system with a determination to complete site clearance for the project within 2025.

Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee Le Tien Chau chaired a meeting on November 7 to review the progress of site clearance for the section of the Lao Cai – Ha Noi – Hai Phong railway running through the city, as well as the construction of resettlement areas serving the project.
Secretary Le Tien Chau emphasized that this is a key national project prioritized by the Government and expected to become an important driver of Hai Phong’s socio-economic development.

To accelerate project implementation, Hai Phong has proactively allocated around 11 trillion VND from the local budget to finance the section in the eastern part of the city. Over the past time, departments, agencies, and localities along the route have actively carried out site clearance and related tasks.

The Secretary asked local Party committees and authorities in communes, wards, and special zones to further mobilize human resources, infrastructure, equipment, and administrative facilities to support site clearance efforts.
To ensure site clearance for the project proceeds on schedule, the Railway Project Management Board under the Ministry of Construction was urged to quickly finalize the route alignment, station locations, etc. so that the city can carry out site clearance work. The board was also asked to review and incorporate Hai Phong’s proposals and recommendations to ensure alignment with the city’s socio-economic development goals.

The Lao Cai – Ha Noi – Hai Phong railway’s section running through Hai Phong is 89.8 km long, with two branch lines totaling 20.57 km, crossing 23 communes, wards, and special zones. The project includes six mixed-use stations and three technical operation stations.
