Hai Phong’s IIP up over 15% in 10 months

Hai Phong’s industrial production index in the first 10 months of 2025 is estimated to increase by 15.02% compared to the same period in 2024.

Hai Phong’s index of industrial production (IIP) in October is estimated to rise by 3.81% over the previous month, according to the city Statistics Office.

Several key industries recorded strong growth, including the manufacture of other transport equipment (up 22.54%); pharmaceuticals, medicinal chemicals, and herbal materials (27.69%); apparel (26.26%); electronic products, computers, and optical products (16.02%); and motor vehicles (13.77%).

Overall, in the first 10 months of 2025, Hai Phong’s IIP increased by 15.02% year-on-year. Of this, the manufacturing and processing sector grew by 16.61%, while the water supply, waste, and wastewater treatment sector rose by 6.19%.

Over the past five years, Hai Phong’s IIP has remained relatively stable with consistent growth, with the manufacturing and processing sector continuing to serve as the main driver of the city’s industrial development.
