Hai Phong grants 15-year land rent exemption for science, technology enterprises
Science and technology enterprises in Hai Phong are eligible for a 15-year exemption from land and water surface rent if they meet required conditions.
The Hai Phong People’s Council has issued a resolution stipulating the content, level, duration, criteria, and beneficiaries of land incentives for science and technology enterprises in the city.
Qualified science and technology enterprises will be exempted from land and water surface rent for 15 years from the date of the competent authority’s leasing decision and will receive a 50% reduction for the following nine years.
The three specific criteria include: having a land or water surface lease project approved by a competent Hai Phong authority during the effective period of this resolution; engaging in scientific and technological production, business, or service activities that generate products and goods from scientific research and technological development results recognized by a competent authority; and committing to comply with current legal regulations.
The city People’s Council has also issued another resolution defining the content, level, duration, criteria, and beneficiaries of support for direct leasing of science and technology infrastructure assets without auction for operation.
