Nguyen Hoang Minh Vy, a 5th-grader from Hai Phong, has won three bronze medals at the 19th Asian Schools Chess Championship 2025.

The 19th Asian Schools Chess Championship 2025 took place in Mongolia from October 22 to November 2, attracting hundreds of outstanding young players from various countries and territories across the region.

The student team representing Vietnam competed with great effort and achieved remarkable results. Among them, Nguyen Hoang Minh Vy, a student of class 5A6 at Vo Thi Sau Primary School and a member of the Hoa Phuong Do Master Chess Club in Hai Phong, won three bronze medals in all standard, rapid, and blitz chess categories.

This achievement is particularly significant as Minh Vy faced many strong opponents from chess powerhouses such as China and Mongolia, thereby further affirming the position of Vietnamese school chess in the regional arena.
