A team of chefs from Hai Phong set a record on the evening of October 31 as part of the Autumn Fair 2025 for recreating the Vietnam Exposition Center using gac sticky rice and butterfly pea flowers, recognized as the largest of its kind in Vietnam.

At a 1:10 scale compared to the original, the largest exhibition complex in Southeast Asia and one of the world’s top 10, the model measures nearly 1.8 m long, 2 me wide, and 80 cm high, and was completed over three consecutive days.

The entire structure was crafted from 410 kilograms of bright red gac sticky rice. Decorative motifs, the dome, and surrounding landscapes were meticulously hand-shaped by chefs using 100 kg of mung beans and white beans, reproducing the building’s real architectural features with natural colors, durable structure, high aesthetic quality, and food safety standards.

The performance and record recognition took place as part of the “Thu My Vi – Cheer Fest 2025” Culinary Festival held from October 26 to November 4. There, visitors can enjoy specialty dishes from 34 provinces and cities nationwide and watch live culinary demonstrations by skilled artisans.

Organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ha Noi People’s Committee, Vingroup, and other ministries and localities, the 2025 Autumn Fair is not only a shopping destination but also a grand experiential festival, a convergence of technology, culture, cuisine, and art.

The fair will close on November 4.
