Hai Phong VFF Committee receives donations for storm-hit victims
The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Hai Phong city has so far received over 20 billion VND from donors to support 10 localities severely affected by storms No. 10 and No. 11.
The Hai Phong VFF Committee held a ceremony on the afternoon of October 31 to receive more than 2 billion VND in donations for people suffering losses caused by storms No. 10 and No. 11.
Standing Vice Chairman of the city VFF Committee Nguyen Duc Tuan said that the committee had allocated 34 billion VND from the Relief Fund and received more than 20 billion VND from agencies and enterprises to assist 10 localities severely affected by the two storms.
The committee hopes to continue receiving donations from organizations and businesses across the city to help those in disaster-hit areas soon recover and stabilize their lives, Tuan said.
