Construction contractors join forces to shape Hai Phong’s new landscape
Partnerships between construction contractors in Hai Phong, Vietnam, and international partners mark an important step toward building the city’s future and elevating the reputation of its construction industry.
The Hai Phong Construction Contractors Association held a conference titled “Cooperation for development: Construction contractors from Hai Phong, Vietnam, and the world join hands to shape Hai Phong’s new landscape” on the afternoon of October 28.
In attendance were representatives of several departments and agencies in the city, the Vietnam Construction Contractors Association, and nearly 50 domestic construction corporations.
Also present were representatives of the Korea Semiconductor Industry Association, the Korea AI Space Association, more than 40 international high-tech corporations, including many enterprises investing in semiconductor manufacturing plants in Vietnam, and China’s Guangzhou Construction Group, one of the world’s top 500 enterprises.
Within the framework of the conference, the Hai Phong Construction Contractors Association signed several strategic cooperation agreements with domestic and foreign partners, reflecting a long-term vision for developing infrastructure, industry, and high technology.
The association established a strategic partnership with the Korea Semiconductor Industry Association, focusing on investment in high-tech industrial parks, semiconductor technology transfer, workforce training, and technology startup incubation.
It also signed a cooperation agreement with Guangzhou Construction Group on research, planning, and investment in industrial parks and logistics ports, as well as transfer of modern construction technology, training of high-skilled workers, and implementation of complex transport infrastructure projects.
Additionally, a tripartite agreement was signed between the Korea Semiconductor Industry Association, the Hai Phong Construction Contractors Association, and Hai Phong University to train and send students from Hai Phong for internships at major Korean industrial corporations. After completing their training, the students will return to work at the city’s high-tech industrial parks, contributing to building a high-quality workforce to serve Hai Phong’s industrialization strategy.
The conference also witnessed the signing of several memoranda of understanding in the fields of materials, logistics, urban development, and technology, paving the way for a series of large-scale investment projects from 2025 to 2030, reaffirming Hai Phong’s position in the global investment landscape.
