The Kinh Mon river bridge is part of a project to build the bridge and a road linking it and an interchange of National Highway 5, which began construction in October 2024The project is being executed by a consortium of Khang Nguyen Infrastructure Investment and Construction JSC., Viet Hoa Construction and Trading JSC., and Vinh Anh Co., Ltd. Multiple teams are working concurrently at the construction site to accelerate progress across all itemsThe bridge is being built with prestressed reinforced and reinforced concrete, featuring a central arch span, with a total length of 568.6 mTo date, contractors have completed all 14 abutments and piers, cast all 60 Super-T girders, installed all 12 spans, and finished the deck on all 12 spans. The steel arches and main span girders have also been fully fabricated and installedAround 50 - 60 workers have been mobilized to carry out the construction simultaneously, with extended shifts to meet the project’s scheduleBarges, crawler cranes, and other specialized machinery are deployed to handle various construction tasksWorkers are welding reinforcement bars in preparation for the final stages of girder and deck finishingThe project is expected to be completed in November 2025, about one month ahead of the contract deadlineOnce completed, the bridge will eliminate the need for ferry crossings, form an inter-regional transport axis linking the economic centers of eastern and western Hai Phong with Quang Ninh province, and contribute to completing the regional transport network in line with the city’s master plan
