Tightening Hai Phong – South Korea community ties through Korean language contest

A Korean language contest is an opportunity for cultural connection and exchange, inspiring love for the Korean language and fostering mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of Vietnam and South Korea.

The Hai Phong Department of Foreign Affairs and the Association of South Koreans in Hai Phong co-organized the 11th Korean Language Contest at the city Convention and Performance Center on October 26.

In his opening remarks, Tran Viet Tuan, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs, emphasized that the contest is not only a language competition but also a cultural exchange that nurtures passion for the Korean language and strengthens the friendship between the peoples of Vietnam and South Korea, as well as between Hai Phong and South Korean localities and organizations.

The contest will continue to serve as a cultural and friendship bridge, helping deepen the friendly cooperation between the two countries and strengthening the bonds between the South Korean community and the people of Hai Phong.

The contest attracted nearly 300 contestants from 30 institutions, including primary, secondary, and high schools, colleges, universities, and South Korean businesses in Hai Phong.
