Hai Phong People's Council elects additional vice chairmen of city People's Council and Committee
The 16th Hai Phong People's Council, 2021–2026 term, reached a high consensus to elect additional key positions of the city People's Council and People's Committee at its 30th session.
The 16th Hai Phong People's Council elected one vice chairman of the city People's Council and two vice chairmen of the city People's Committee for the 2021–2026 term during its 30th session on October 26 afternoon.
At the session, council deputies reached unanimous agreement to elect Dao Trong Duc, Chief of the city Party Committee Office, as Vice Chairman of the city People's Council.
Delegates also elected Le Trung Kien, Head of the city Economic Zone Authority, and Vu Tien Phung, Director of the Department of Home Affairs, as Vice Chairmen of the city People's Committee.
Dao Trong Duc, born in 1979 in Vinh Am commune, Hai Phong city, previously held positions including Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong, Head of the Organization Commission of the city Party Committee, Secretary of Ngo Quyen district Party Committee in Hai Phong, and Chairman of the district People's Committee.
Le Trung Kien, born in 1974 in Nam Dong Hung commune, Hung Yen province, formerly served as Director of the Hai Phong Department of Planning and Investment and Secretary of Le Chan district Party Committee in Hai Phong.
Vu Tien Phung, born in 1972 in Nam Thanh Mien commune, Hai Phong, was appointed Director of the city Department of Home Affairs on July 2, 2025. He previously held positions including Head of the Internal Affairs Commission of the Hai Duong provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the provincial Agencies Bloc Party Committee, and Chairman of the Hai Duong city People's Committee.
