Hai Phong builds ‘Great Unity’ house for martyr’s relative in Thanh Mien
Nguyen Thi Suot, a martyr’s relative in Thanh Mien commune, has received financial support of 100 million VND from Hai Phong authorities to build a new house in place of her deteriorated one.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Duc Tuan attended the groundbreaking ceremony for a “Great Unity” house for Nguyen Thi Suot, born in 1948, in Cu Tri village, Thanh Mien commune on the afternoon of October 23.
Suot is an elderly, single woman and a relative of a martyr. Her old house, built many years ago, has seriously deteriorated. The city Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee deducted 100 million VND from the “For the Poor” Fund to help her build a new home, with the remaining cost contributed by her relatives and fellow villagers.

Standing Vice chairman Nguyen Duc Tuan expressed his hope that Suot’s family would consider the new house a source of encouragement to overcome difficulties. He also urged the local Party, authorities, and residents to continue supporting the family and ensure that the construction meets quality and safety standards, is completed on schedule, and provides a solid, stable home for the family.
On this occasion, the city Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee also provided support to build “Great Unity” houses for six other families in Thanh Mien and Nam Thanh Mien communes.
