Hai Phong to experience northeast monsoon

The cold air is forecast to become stronger from October 20 to 22. Due to its influence, scattered rain and thunderstorms are predicted to occur in Hai Phong from early morning on October 19, with the lowest temperatures ranging from 23°C to 26°C.
On land, winds will shift to the northeast at level 2 or 3. At sea, in the Gulf of Tonkin, including Bach Long Vi special zone, from the evening of October 19, northeasterly winds will strengthen to levels 6 - 8, causing rough seas with waves 1.5 - 2.5 m high.
In the coastal areas of Do Son, Duong Kinh, and Cat Hai – Lan Ha Bay, winds will reach levels 3 – 4, with waves 0.25 – 0.75 m high.
From the night of October 18 to October 19, the wards and communes of Thuy Nguyen, Le Chan, Hai An, Kien An, An Duong, An Lao, Tien Lang, Vinh Bao, Hai Duong, Cam Giang, Tu Ky, Ninh Giang, Thanh Mien, Kim Thanh, Chi Linh, Kinh Mon, and Thanh Ha will experience the lowest temperatures from 23°C to 26°C.
In the wards and island districts of Do Son, Duong Kinh, Cat Hai, and Bach Long Vi, the lowest temperatures will range from 24°C to 26°C.
Due to the influence of cold air, scattered rain and thunderstorms are expected in Hai Phong from early morning on October 19. Thunderstorms may bring whirlwinds, lightning, and strong gusts, likely to impact outdoor activities, uproot trees, damage houses, transportation infrastructure, and agricultural production.
Strong winds and high waves at sea may affect vessel operations, aquaculture areas, and other maritime activities.
